PR Portal Posting Guidelines
SGB Media has upgraded the PR Partner program and user experience to expand access to SGB Media’s business-to-business (B2B) communication tools through an enhanced program and new technologies to communicate more effectively with your target B2B audience.
PR Contributors approved by SGB Media now have three options when posting a press release:
- Standard PR Posts
- Premium PR Posts
- PRO PR Posts
Standard PR Posts
Standard PR Posting provides the PR Contributor the ability to post a raw press release for free, and if the release meets the content criteria set by SGB Media, the raw release will be posted to the Press Release section of the Website for open access by those accessing the site.

Premium PR Posts
Premium PR posts enable the PR Contributor, for a small fee, to expand the reach of a press release to reach daily readers of the SGB Updates and published online in a format more reflective of a digital magazine article or post.
If a Premium PR post meets the content criteria set by SGB Media, the content will be converted to an SGB Today format for publication to the home page of the Website for open access by anyone accessing the website and a copy and a headline inclusion at the bottom of the SGB Updates. Up to ten (10) Premium PR post headlines may be included in the SGB Updates each day.
Each Premium PR post is reviewed by the SGB Media editorial team and re-written in the SGB Today content format with the ability to add additional images and links, as well as enhanced text formatting tools. The PR Contributor may work with the editorial team on edit revisions and layout to ensure the desired messaging is delivered in the proper format to the intended audience provided it meets the SGB Media content parameters.
The SGB Today versions of the Premium PR posts are enhanced with an SGB Media byline and do not retain the PR Contributor’s or Agency/Company name.
SGB Today formatting includes:
- Copy editing based on AP Standards and SGB Media style guide.
- Grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation checks with the Grammarly app.
- Large feature image (900×500) required.
- Up to six (6) hot links.
- Up to five (5) article body images.
The Premium PR posts will also be retained in their Standard PR post format and published to the Press Release pages of the Web Site for open access by anyone accessing the Web Site. The Standard PR posts will retain the PR Contributor’s agency and brand/client, if applicable.
PRO PR Posts
PRO PR posts enable the PR Contributor, for a modest fee, to further expand the reach and presentation of a press release to connect with more daily readers of the SGB Updates by placing the headline (HED) and summary (DEK) of the SGB Today version of the release in the body of the newsletter and published online in a format more reflective of a digital magazine article or post.
If a PRO PR post release meets the content criteria set by SGB Media, the content will be converted to an SGB Today format for publication to the home page of the Web Site for open access by anyone accessing the Web Site and the article’s HED and DEK are included in the body of the SGB Updates with daily news stories. Up to five (5) SGB Today formats of PRO PR posts may be included in the SGB Updates each day. The article will be tagged as “PR Partner Sponsored Content” or similar language.
Each PRO PR post is reviewed by the SGB Media editorial team and re-written in the SGB Today content format with the ability to add additional images and links, as well as enhanced text formatting tools. The PR Contributor may work with the editorial team on edit revisions to ensure the desired messaging is delivered in the proper format to the intended audience provided it meets the SGB Media content parameters.
The SGB Today article versions of the PRO PR posts are designated as SGB Media byline articles and do not retain the PR Contributor’s agency name.
SGB Today formatting includes:
- Copy editing based on AP Standards and SGB Media style guide.
- Grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation checks with the Grammarly app.
